Quite simply, we love them because we love Him. That’s how the sequence works. God has loved us and has asked that in return we love Him by fully yielding to Him. When we do that, He says to us, “Your first assignment—the outworking of your yieldedness to and love for Me—is to love those around you unconditionally, as an expression of your love toward Me.” Loving in this sequence is liberating.
